Domino Effect

Spending hours maybe days to build something so that you can destroy it later... To be honest that is not for me. But this guy is amazing and is really really good at what he is doing, building endless domino mazes, pyramids and other strange buildings using all kinds of tricks and destroying them later and he's got everything on video. This is one of his creations.

Adobe After Effects - Projection Animation Test

Excellent example of what a little imagination can do to a truck on a parking lot. Great video that shows the endless possibilities of Adobe After Effects. This is the work of the Russian artist Igor Sandimirov.

Volkswagen Passat: The Force

Another great Volkswagen commercial for the new Volkswagen Passat. Little kid in Dart Vader's outfit is trying to use The Force on the objects around him but he fails until he sees his dad with the new Passat in the driveway. This ad is spiced up with the unforgettable Star Wars tune for even more dramatic impression and it's very cute and funny to watch. Great work for the people in the Volkswagen workshop.

Bad Science by Ben Goldacre

We are obsessed with our health. And yet — from the media's "world-expert microbiologist" with a mail-order Ph.D. in his garden shed laboratory, and via multiple health scares and miracle cures — we are constantly bombarded with inaccurate, contradictory, and sometimes even misleading information. Until now. Ben Goldacre masterfully dismantles the questionable science behind some of the great drug trials, court cases, and missed opportunities of our time, but he also goes further: out of the bullshit, he shows us the fascinating story of how we know what we know, and gives us the tools to uncover bad science for ourselves.
Few words about Dr. Ben Goldacre: He is an award winning writer, broadcaster and medical doctor who specialises in unpicking dodgy scientific claims made by scaremongering journalists, dodgy government reports, evil pharmaceutical corporations PR companies and quacks. He has written the weekly Bad Science column in The Guardian since 2003.
Bad Science (The book) has sold over 240000 copies, and is being published in 18 countries.
